Do guys ever get creepy on you?

I know Poshmark is for both men and women and I’m all for it, but do you ever feel like some of the guys are just creeps? If they’re going to like anything in your closet, it’s going to be your Posher photo, or they’ll drop you a line in a random listing.

One guy got super weird with me this weekend though. To begin, I initially thought it was actually a woman I was speaking to because all of their listings were purses. He commented on a picture of rings I had for sale and mentioned something about my nails being nice, so I though, ‘okay, regular girl compliment’ and told them about another set of rings I had for sale where my nails looked completely different. Again, I thought it was a girl and that she was just appreciative of pretty nails.

Then he made a comment about me deserving everything and that my husband should be proud to have such a beautiful woman by his side. I thought again, “Aweeee, what a sweet girl” and responded that I was a single pringle.

Then he goes to the second picture of my nails and he asks, “Is this the other picture you talked to me about your nails babe?”

The babe threw me off a bit, but I mean girls call girls babe all the time, so I responded with how I normally have my nails and that you could see the different designs on my Instagram if he (me thinking it was a ‘her’) wanted and even threw in that I was just taking a break from the acrylic because it things out your nails. It was literally as basic and platonic as an answer could be. I really just thought this was a girl into nail art.

But then he comes back with “awee. How beautiful they are 😍❤️ there’s no beautiest thing for a man that a natural nails 😍😍 that’s my personal opinion Beautiful nails and fingers babe 😘❤️😘”

That brought up a jumbo-sized red flag for me and I was like... wait, is this a dude? Sure enough, I go to their Meet the Posher page and boom, it’s a dude. Suddenly all of the cute girly compliments made me cringe and just...

Can’t I have one place where I don’t have to worry about creeps? Especially ones with hand fetishes like this one apparently has.

I realize now that this post might have just been me venting, but it’s been bothering me so much and I just had to get it out how much that exchange bothered me. It’s partly my fault for assuming it was a woman, but still, he took it way too far. shudders

Have any of you guys had any weird run-ins with any male poshers?
