Critic Reviews

Cultured Vultures - Maxim Klose-Ivanov - 8 / 10

Warsaw is a good installment in the dungeon crawler genre with its historical theme, excellent artstyle, and atmosphere carrying the experience. However, it can feel tedious at times with the slow responsiveness of skills during combat and some grindy situations in combat.

Game Rant - Cameron Corliss - 3 / 5 stars

All in all, Warsaw is a solid foundation, but the balancing issues may make it difficult for players to love.

Gamefa - Amirmehdi Namjoo - Persian - [7 / 10]

Warsaw succeeds in delivering a good turn-based combat experience alongside a distinctive art style that completely feets the game theme. However, some other gameplay components like moving in the map section of the game have lots of problems that decrease the game value. Some of the problems can be solved with updates but some of them are rooted in the gameplay and can’t be fixed with patches. It also doesn’t use the full potential of its story settings. In the end, if you’re a fan of turn-based tactical strategies and like games such as Darkest Dungeon, then Warsaw is a good choice for you to play.

Metro GameCentral - 6 / 10

Extremely rough around the edges but even in its current state this is an engrossing and tension-filled strategy role-playing game that offers a very different perspective of WWII.

OnlySP - Damien Lawardorn - 3 / 5 stars

Five hours into a session, the player could be forgiven for thinking that only half that time has gone by. WARSAW has an addictive quality that comes from sublime gameplay and a pervasive feeling of desperation. ‘Just one more mission,’ goes the refrain. ‘Just one more’ until the final mission is complete, and the game comes to its shattering end. WARSAW may be short, but as an engaging history lesson and an engrossing game, it warrants any number of replays.

Screen Rant - Leo Faierman - 2.5 / 5 stars

Warsaw combines the backdrop of the 1944 uprising with a tough-as-nails tactical roguelike, but bugs and design flaws compromise the experience.

SelectButton - Marcus Jones - 8 / 10

WARSAW is a solid tactical strategy role-playing game. It suffers from some of the same antics that drive me crazy in other games in the genre, with a bizarre way of calculating hit ratios. The randomized events and absolutely stunning graphical depiction of the game more than makeup for it. For those doubly interested in World War 2 and tactical strategy, this is a great title to look into.

Spaziogames - Italian - 7.8 / 10

Warsaw is a tactical-RPG, a tribute to the hellish Darkest Dungeon: it's cruel, it's hard and it's also a bit unfair.

The Games Machine - Alessandro Alosi - Italian - 8.3 / 10

Warsaw cannot be defined as a mere clone of Darkest Dungeon, because it has its personality and a gameplay with a lot of combinations. Pixelated Milk has created a game that deserves a chance if you like the genre and/or if you want to learn more about what happened during the Uprising.
