Warrior Ghosts are the lingering spirits of powerful bugfolk, unconsumed by the Infection. Before the sickness came, those with the will and the interest could stay on the material plane, shepherded by the moth tribe seers. Markoth came from that tribe, but was unlike the others. He sequestered himself at the edge of civilization as Hallownest fell, and taught himself the way of the nail and shell. He slew challenger after challenger, until no more sought him. He meditated for months on end. He did not notice his own death. Now, Markoth's ghost kneels where his body once did, still struggling to understand what had led his people astray.
