Mansion

Two months ago…

After defeating Conor in Birmingham, Akagi inserted the Chaos Jewels into a machine labelled ‘LIFELINE’. However, he lacked the final jewel, rendering his Earl Grey leaves at 20 Carats. But now, he has the ‘ELMER’ jewel, and is prepared to finish what he started.

Days before BTE…

Akagi faces the Lifeline machine, taking a deep breath, before inserting the final jewel into machine. It begins whirring, and the mansion roof slides open. A green beam of energy is released into the sky, bouncing off of a satellite, before returning, attracted by the antenna on top of the Earl Grey Greenhouse. A reaction occurs, as the energy seeps into the soil, and is taken up by the roots into the Earl Grey plants, causing a mutation. Akagi hurriedly enters, unearthing a few of them. He takes them to a Refinery Room, putting them through various machines, which grind and dissect the leaves, before taking them through a final machine. A needle pierces the leaves, sucking up a gold substance. Readings are taken, and immediately, a status report projects itself holographically, providing an update on the condition of the leaves. 24 Carats. Perfection.

When Akagi was about to depart to the spirit realm, centuries ago, he had a vision. The Oni of Chaos would return, in what is modern day Earth. It would wreak havoc over the wrestling world, and Akagi had to conquer it. He had to save everyone. But he didn’t know how. Thus, the research began. His ancient mansion still stood tall after the many centuries, and within it, a library, filled with his forefathers’ encounters with Onis. After years upon years of research, he finally stumbled upon it: Oni of Chaos. He read every last page of the book, even going to Hell to pay a visit to the Devil for answers, but there was no luck… until he had another vision. A cry for help from a distant dimension, but he never had the answers to its prayers. It screamed ‘The Prophecy’, but that has just become another term in Akagi’s life. The Prophecy is the answer to the Oni of Chaos. But the Prophecy never arrived. Ergo, Akagi had to take matters into his own hands. He had to explore the ancient, forbidden art of ‘Tasseography’ to unlock the secrets. Akagi slaved away, practicing the forbidden art, in hopes of finding a weakness to the Oni of Chaos. And then it struck him. One day, he honed in on a clue. He had always been an expert at brewing different teas, carrying himself to the modern era with the ‘Traveller’s Tea’, and now, it seems his skill would come to use. Earl Grey Tea. The innocent drink he had been leisurely consuming for centuries has a storied history… and may be the key towards slaying the Oni of Chaos. But to get there, he had to grow the perfect leaves. He had to brew the perfect cup. He had to forge the fabled 24-Carat Earl Grey Tea. And now, with time being of the essence, Akagi has forged his greatest creation; the perfect cup of Earl Grey Tea. Upon consumption, it is believed he would obtain the power to take down the Oni of Chaos. But he only has one cup, and it must be saved for BTE. Until then, he must do some training of his own, in case anything falls through.

The first step? Power. He requires gear for BTE, but for him, he makes his own gear through his blood, sweat, and tears, testing his power as he hunts for materials. Therefore, he crafts away at the Furnace, using special Japanese metals to create the perfect mask and gear for the biggest match of his career. But he lacks Ushi Horns, and so, like old times, he goes out to hunt for wild bulls. As he walks through the fields, he remembers the same scenes years ago, with his Uncle by his side, hunting, and protecting their land. Now, he has a greater cause. Intimidation in the face of Chaos. As he channels his late Uncle’s spirit, he delivers his lethal, unprotected Ushigoroshi, snapping bull necks to retrieve their precious horns, using his master craftmanship to fashion them into the final addition to his gear; a tribute to Uncle Adrian.

The next step? Precision. And for that, laser-focus is required. If he wants to dissect UD, he needs to work on the finest details to nail the perfect strikes. Consequently, he goes on a spree through the house, honing his strikes by knocking out lightbulbs across his gargantuan mansion. No light can be left on, because there is no room to show mercy. To battle darkness, he must adapt to the darkness, whilst keeping the only light on inside of him; the fire that keeps his heart burning. He delivers Roundhouse Kicks, sending shards of glass splintering everywhere. A callous memory of the past it may be, but he must rid his emotions to conquer UD.

And to complete the triad... Serenity. He requires relaxation to focus his mind, and there is no better a place to do so than in the Sub-Zero Room. But first, to reach zen, he must walk through Hell first. Hence, he pays a visit to the underworld, walking through the scorching flames unharmed, as he battles a variety of Onis. UD may have the Oni of Chaos locked in his soul, but there could be more darkness trapped under the layers, and Akagi must be prepared. As he floors the final one, he is approached by the Devil, who gives him a cold glare. The Devil knows the Oni of Chaos very well. A prodigal son, to say the least, but unfortunately, that son never returned to his senses. Excommunicated from Hell, it unleashes its anarchical rage on surface dwellers. But if Akagi beats the final Oni, what will become of the Devil? Does the cold glare forebode a dark secret? Nonetheless, questions are what bring anxiety to mankind, and with Hell out of the way, it is time to go Sub-Zero, and relieve these questions. Akagi enters a cryogenic tube, walking from one extreme of the burning underworld, to another extreme of the frost-laden prison. But with an eternal flame burning in his heart, no amount of cold can kill him. All of his traumatic thoughts come spilling out to the surface of his mind, warring to psychologically eviscerate Akagi, but the cold freezes the scars, putting them into a slumber, allowing Akagi to focus on his only important thought. Beating UD.

Finally, he leaves the room, locking all the doors of the mansion, with all lights put out, all wild bulls slain, all thoughts put to rest, and all focus on BTE… However, one door still seems to be open, and Akagi gingerly walks in, the clattering thuds of his shoes reduced to pure silence. Inside the room, there is an animal, perched on a platform, gazing at the walls. It is Akagi’s Phoenix; the only companion he has let into his mansion. His Uncle gifted him the Phoenix for his 18th birthday, but was soon after murdered by the Oni of Chaos. When Akagi’s time came to go too, the Phoenix rested by his side, night after night, waiting for him to return to life. It underwent multiple cycles of rebirth, but still contained the burning passion and ambition it shares with Akagi. Finally, when Akagi was revived by the Devil and taken to Hell, enslaved, the Phoenix went into hiding, heartbrokenly watching its friend suffer. However, when opportunity arose, the Phoenix rescued Akagi from Hell, and through the use of the Traveller’s Tea, the two came to the modern era, in pursuit of the one entity they had been chasing their whole existences together; the Oni of Chaos. Now, with BTE on the horizon, Akagi kneels next to his Phoenix, stroking it soothingly, as they gaze at the walls together. It is the Mural Room, the first room Akagi ever appeared in on his FBE debut vignette. His forefathers painted all of their greatest battles on the wall, and now, at BTE, he paints the final patch, which was left for him by his Uncle, in order for Akagi to instil his legacy into history. The Phoenix lets out a shrilling cry, shooting up into the air as it sends its burning flames about the room, lighting the place up to reveal the marvels of the past, before facing Akagi’s spot on the wall. Akagi stands up, before extending his arm, allowing his Phoenix to rest once again. Akagi, finally ready, nods at it, and the Phoenix nods back, determined to fly with him into the biggest match of FBE’s history; the main event of BTE. The Oni Kira vs The Oni of Chaos. The Bushi Gentleman vs the FBE World Heavyweight Champion. British Ambition vs Lifeline. The Dream Match. Inferno vs UD.

I am Aedan Akagi, born from the raging infernos of this world, and at BTE, I will avenge the fallen, I will avenge my family, I will avenge FBE… and I will become the NEW FBE World Heavyweight Champion.
