Looking to get a character drawn I'll be potentially using in a campaign shortly. Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of good changeling art using the description/example in the official art. https://www.dndbeyond.com/races/changeling
Name: Jin-Who-Collects-Secrets
Gender: Androgynous in true form, both male & female personas used frequently.
Race: Changeling
Class: Warlock of the Archfey (Mab, Winter Queen of the Sidhe).
Occupation: Urchin, Spy
Alignment: Neutral Good
Companian: Lieran, a sprite of the winter court, 1 foot tall with dragonfly wings and leather armor with a small wooden bow. frequently perched on Jin's shoulder when not scouting around invisibly.
Notable features: In Trueform, Jin has an androgynous slim build that is very lithe and small, standing only 5'2" in height and not weighing more than 160lbs. Their fingers are long and slender, ending in almost sharpened nails, and their white hair is generally shoulder length, roughly chopped and messy. Standard clothing & armor looks slightly oversized, as Jin frequently shifts into slightly larger builds to portray confidence. The standard flatish white face with oversized white eyes surrounded by black markings.
Character Equipment: Typically leather armor, and dirtied clothing, with no weapons to speak of. Though they do keep a large collection of clothing in various states & basic weapons to complete disguises for their personas. (Including: Noble clothing w/ slender rapier & decorative dagger, A bow and elven cloak, rough clothing of a begger.) A small locket that contains a mirror, which acts as an arcane focus.
Attitude: Varies with persona, but in Trueform Jin is cautious, curious and pessimistic. With a history of abuse/racial profiling Jin has become cautious of trusting or putting themselves out there. Very little confidence in abilities but generally curious enough to investigate a conversation, or where people are going.
Backstory: Still kind of in progress but the outline is here... Jin's earliest memories of are of being an orphan, urchin and begger on the streets of a medium sized city. Unknowingly using their ability to shift face to manipulate people, Jin is quickly picked up by a minor crime lord who finds out what they are and forces them to be a spy for them, getting dirt and information on their enemies, and rising in the ranks. During this time Jin is treated as subhuman, closer to a pet or tool than a person. While spying on a noble family for an upcoming heist, they happen upon a small locket which contains a mirror that connects to the realms of the sidhe, from this mirror Mab contacts them, and offers them power and the ability to escape out from under the control of their crimelord, in exchange, Jin must do favors for Mab when she pleases. Jin accepts, gaining the powers of a warlock and escaping the city, setting to wander and adventure, a small determination growing to free & help those that are treated similarly poorly.
