In the middle of his teenage years and during the fight with Pain, Hinata “dies” preventing Nagato/Pain to just end Naruto while he got him nailed on the ground. But is later revived luckily.

During the 4th shinobi war Obito or I think both him and Madara throws big stick no jutsu directly on Naruto but Hinata tried to be the shield and at the same time Neji saves both of them from dying in a sense and letting himself get stabbed by it.
Naruto would have died if it wasn’t for Minato, Kushina, Hinata and Neji.

This isn’t the official website but many of you guys seen this art around the internet. But since Ikemoto drew this around a couple years ago If you look on the wording below the art. I believe this was released to tease Narutos life as an old man. He looks depressed perhaps like someone close to him had died sooner than he thought?
That someone would be his own son Boruto. Basically my theory is that Borutos destiny is him sacrificing himself to save the village and Naruto from Kara , kawaki or the next otsutsuki threat. Naruto knows that even at birth most of his family and extended family died just to let him breath another day.
As for Sasuke his situation is a bit different. Since he’s about power it’s natural that like Madara and Indra they all were given chances to live on and this time with their precious people. So he had a choice in a sense or else the balance between sun and moon would be ruined and there has to be a balance no matter the cost.

Sasuke has similar experiences where he could have died such as Itachi giving him a chance to live letting him be the only Uchiha left in the village.

Some may argue that Naruto could have killed Sasuke in both of their “final”fight from the Sasuke rescue arc in the final Cannon parts of OG naruto.

Sasuke and Naruto both end up ALMOST DYING to Madara during the war arc but ended up staying alive. Which is a good example of how it’s impossible to have them die by another human force.

let’s be honest Naruto could have killed Sasuke if he really needed too but again Sasuke ends up being alive but again it’s a good example on how both of them cannot die even towards each other.
Naruto in his cases didn’t have a choice for him it’s either let him die or make him live another day but at the cost of losing his one of his own family member/precious people once again in this case I think it that person would be Boruto dying an early age thus ending the series and changing the 7th hokage for the rest of his sad miserable life.
I just thought of it right now but it seems like it makes sense. Releasing an image of a older and more depressed Naruto would be odd since he’s always the cheerful one. That’s why you can see old man Naruto thinking deeply of his sons early death.
This would be an odd ending if it ends up accurate but yet really good at the same time. At least not Boruto gets to chill with Minato and Kushina lmao.
