MSM crystals are known for treating arthritis.
We have heard previously that MSM might help nails and hair, although we could not find any studies to support this claim. It does seem to be fairly safe, however (Food and Chemical Toxicology, October 2002).
So I have been taking Schiff Glucosamine with MSM for the last three months to try to help my knees feel better when i work out at the gym. It hasn't helped my knees at all but my toenails have grown in clean about an 1/8th of an inch from the cuticle.
Shocked by this! I've tried everything and it hasn't worked so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and continuing to take it to see if my nails can completely grow in healthy. At the current rate I'll need to take it for about a year but hey, it's working. I looked for just MSM supplements but can't find any made in the US so I'll keep taking it unless I start to notice any side effects to taking the glucosamine.
Edit: This looks like a pure MSM, without the glucosamine, made in California so I might try it but haven't yet. Doctor's Best MSM
