Hi there, I'm a Dutch Hbo student in my third year and this week is the exam week.
Long story short, I have two exam courses of the first schoolyear this week, because I've failed them twice each year. They're 'art history until 1900' and 'heritage in a historic perspective', which are large courses.
This week I really do need to nail them, because if I fail them (again), I'm not allowed to begin with my minor. Which causes a whole year of study delay...
The thing is, I got heart issues about two weeks ago (went to a doctor, we're still searching what causes it). My heartbeat is about 100 BPM while doing nothing, so I get really tired very quickly. Some days I can't even get up from the couch... Because of this, I didn't get to study for my exams.
We get two tries for each exam, but if I chose to make them this week, it counts as a try and I can't ask for a 'case of force-majeur'.
So my question is, should I still go in tomorrow and Wednesday to make the exams, knowing I'll probably fail anyway? Or should I call in sick, so the second try date becomes my first try, plus a 'case of force-majeur' during the summer holiday (if needed), which causes a year of delay in my study?
Sorry, my mind is a bit all over the place and nowhere, so I hope my story is somewhat clear.
Lots of thanks!
