Airbnb Host requesting money for an art piece I did not break

Hello guys

I recently finished 3 months of stay at an apartment rented through Airbnb. During my first month of stay, an art piece that was hanged on a narrow entrance fell while I was in my room. I specifically remember this because I heard a loud thump noise from the bedroom. I should've contacted the host then but I only realized the art piece fell next morning and frankly to be honest I just thought "oh the loud thump was from this" and just moved on with my day. If I knew I broke the art piece, I would've contacted the host immediately or at least would've tried to put it back on the wall.

Now the host is requesting $2000 for the damage as apparently it was an expensive part. She sent a picture to the resolution center.

I already checked out and so I can't go back and investigate myself. The only thing I can take from this picture is that the nails on the wall and the art piece on the floor do not align. My guess is that the nail on the left side fell... But i know that that would not be enough to refute it...

The resolution center has asked me to explain what happened and I am trying my best to come up with what to say other than what I just mentioned but this is causing me a lot of stress as I do not know if I can even afford that much money.

Any advise to this would be greatly appreciated.
