[Hiring] Album cover for austere post-punk, art-rock project ($75-150 USD)

Hey artists,

I'm looking for the right artist to create cover art for a single I'll be releasing in January of 2020. The band in question is called Noise, and is a mix of contemporary art-rock, modernist poetry, the weirder edges of electronic music, indie pop and post-punk.

This is only a single, so I'm happy to keep the artwork minimal and straightforward. I'm open to direction: I'd be equally happy with something based on a photograph, something hand-drawn, or a graphic design assembled digitally.

You can see my current branding & design at https://www.noiseofficial.com. There are a couple of (very minimal) demos with artwork available at https://soundcloud.com/noise-art. I've put together a mood-board of album art I'm fond of at https://www.pinterest.com/willface/noise-cover-art/. I'm happy to share the song this is for, but I don't want to post that publicly!

I have some general thoughts about possible directions. The biggest "concept" I'm interested in is the visual convergence between materials grown by living things, particularly driftwood, coral & bone.

Some boring practical details:

  • Dimensions are a minimum of 1800x1800px
  • I'd love to get this nailed down by mid-December, if possible
