My 5yo refuses to stop sucking her thumb, saying she wants to be a baby forever. I have bought the TGuard but she chewed through those. I tried the nail polish but she doesn’t care. I have tried a reward system/sticker chart without her caring. I have tried taking winter gloves and put a hospital band through them to where she can’t get them off, but she cut the thumbs off with her art scissors). What else can I do?? She has a bad overbite and she needs the pallet expander but the dentist won’t put that in until she stops sucking her thumb. I have to tell her maybe every 15 seconds to get her thumb out of her mouth, not just when she is tired. Help!
