I am excited beyond words to see Matt Reeves' take on this character.
While I may have my reservations concerning some of the casting, I feel this will be an amazing journey.
I will explain.
Robert Pattinson, in my opinion, is questionable but promising casting. He has done very well in the Indy circuit. I have seen all of his films. He has proven to be a great actor. I do not doubt that he will bulk up and become the detective ( although young ) in a noir setting that we all deserve.
Plus, he looks great in fan art.
Andy Serkis as Alfred? Again, I'm sold.
If we're going for a younger, more inexperienced Batman, we should have a younger more spry Alfred. Andy Serkis can definitely pull off the fatherly role that Alfred requires. But can also .intimate and react.
Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman? Nailed it. No explanation nesessary.
Paul Dani as The Riddler is nail-on-the-head casting.
Then we get to Colin Ferrell as Penguin.
Not saying he is not a good actor given the right role. But, I just don't see him as Penguin unless he has some strange quirk ( E.G. Gotham ) that he can pull off.
What are your thoughts?
I'm excited for a true detective story. I hope we get it.
