Receiving Energy

So many of us have our shit together in this subreddit. I know when I was husband hunting I was in graduate school, absolutely killing it in my career, working out all the time, making loads of connections with friends, and doing pretty much what I damned well pleased. My apartment was kept as an extension of me: always meticulously kept clean and I was always making something in it whether it be food or crafts or art.

All of this moving and doing and creating, however, takes a ton of energy. Dating coaches will sometimes call this energy “masculine” energy. This is what kicks in when you need to nail that job interview or you need to run five errands and pick up groceries. High value women are experts at wielding this kind of energy (it’s how you make $$)... but they also realize that this energy is not what lands you a high value man.

When was the last time you just allowed yourself to receive a compliment or a gift? Did you get pampered by a date lately? Did you purchase a massage? What about walking or hiking and just taking it all in? Travel somewhere alone just to enjoy? Received a compliment and didn’t try to justify it? This is what some dating coaches call “feminine energy.” It doesn’t really have to do with traditional feminine behaviors at all: if refers to a more passive energy where you receive others’ “doing” or “masculine” energy.

You can’t bulldoze your way into finding the perfect partner. Going out there and throwing everything you’ve got at a man will only attract the helpless ones who need mothers: you’re going to end up attracting a project. Projects are for work :)

Showing appreciation and joy when a man goes out of his way to care for you can be super powerful, and high value men are instinctively attracted to a woman who exudes confidence and can balance the “doing” with the “receiving”

Letting go, giving up control and choosing not to push and move towards a specific outcome with a specific man will do wonders for your mental health, confidence, and you’ll exude that receptive energy that high value men desire. Just BE. Finding solace and joy in the present, no matter what life throws at you, is an extremely attractive trait in a woman.
