So I live in city where over the last year we have seen three of our major cultural institutions "collab" with fashion industry/designers/retail outlets. It really really annoys me. The National Gallery did a year long "collab" with a Nail "Art" shop. The Modern Art Museum just did an on and off site month long thing with a shopping mall! And now the Hibernaian Academy is jumping on the band wagon with Fashion/Art installation "experience" which has commercial fashion brands smeared all over it like shite on a petrol station bathroom wall. None of this is in any way promoting critical art, at all. Art at that level is dead in this city. I know this has been the way for many years and the money "has to come from somewhere" but because of the naked commerciality of it they have smeared themselves all over social media and, in my opinion, ruined their reputation.
