Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this, but I'm having the hardest time finding gifts for my 5 year old daughter. My 3 year old son is a CAKE WALK. I've got a list from floor to ceiling of things he would love. She's a lot harder.
She is very independent, but doesn't really play with toys as much as she "creates." She loves building things, drawing, doing art projects, etc. But, she has a ton of coloring books, marker sets, journals, sticker books, etc. She goes to a school that requires uniforms, so it seems like buying her a ton of clothes wouldn't go that well. She also has a ton of stuffed animals that she barely plays with, so that seems like a no go.
Looking at the "creative" toys on the market right now, it seems like everything is either too old for her (bracelet making kits, nail painting kits, etc) or too young.
Anyone have a similar kiddo? If so, what are you getting for them?
