Hi all! I am new to this subreddit and new to nail art in general and I could use some advice.
I’ve been using the OPI Infinite Shine Prostay Primer and gloss duo, but the primer is, to put it bluntly, trash.
I had my first attempt at nail art yesterday (I did a red nail, then taped diagonally across and painted the exposed nail black, then put iridescent flakes on the black side, it looked gorgeous) and it’s already all come off my nails. And I don’t just mean light chipping, I mean it’s peeled off so cleanly that simplynailogical could add it to her peely bag. It’s supposed to be a prostay primer, so surely this isn’t right?
Can anybody recommend a good base coat I can use that is available in the UK? I’m losing my mind here because I’ve painted my nails three times since Sunday and it’s cleanly peeled off each time. I even used different polishes and a different top coat and it still peels cleanly, so it has to be the primer.
