SW Jedi Fallen order will likely be the final proof that Electronic Arts needs to change its business model.

As we all know electronic guards has it in their head that people nowadays want multiplayer games with microtransactions. Now you would think after the responses that the first Battlefront remake got where it didn't have a single player campaign and had a very lackluster multiplayer campaign along with the absolute debacle that was Battlefront 2 you would think that Electronic Arts would have learned their lesson. However and rather on splicing lead they didn't. This even continued to when they launched Anthem. A video game that I actually had high hopes for but my hopes were dashed pretty completely.

Electronic Arts has done some pretty bad things. They've acquired a number of studios and in some cases intentionally made it so that there games would maybe not fail completely but the traps underperform which could result in them doing certain things like acquiring new properties. They did this to an extent to respawn entertainment when they were least Titanfall 2. Titanfall 2 undersold compared to Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty but overall in my mind at least the game was still good.

I distinctly remember one thing where someone in Electronic Arts claimed that people don't want single player games anymore and yet if I recall correctly the very year they said this three of the top selling video games we're all single player only. I don't know what the third one was but I remember two of them were Spider-Man and God of War.

If Jedi Fallen order cell extremely well which I genuinely hope it will it will probably finally be the final nail in the coffin that Electronic Arts will need to finally realize that their whole games-as-a-service routine and their heavy-handed use of monetization and microtransactions is not the way forward.
