Let’s Build D100 Spooky Trinkets.

100 trinkets for the Halloween spirit.

  1. Necklace of The Dead - a Necklace with a skeleton finger as a pendant. Undead are no longer hostile until the wearer shows hostility.

  2. Pocket Square of King Harold - a pocket square that belonged to a king. The wearer will occasionally hear whispers from King Harold.

  3. Clean Page- a small strip of paper with an eye painted on it. Gain a +1 on wisdom saves against being charmed. Oracles uses these as protection against being possessed.

  4. Diviner’s Scroll - a blue and gold scroll found in an ancient tomb. The scroll has writings on it that change every morning at dawn. The writing is usually cryptic message about future events.

  5. Liches Cloth - a piece of cloth taken from a liches robe.

  6. Werewolf Fur - a lock of fur taken from a werewolf. During a full moon the hair grows uncontrollably. The hair is flammable.

  7. Ghost in A Jar - a green tinted jar with a spirit inside of it. The jar is near unbreakable and cannot be opened by non magical means.

  8. Earrings of Ancient Horrors - a pair of silver earrings with tentacles hanging down them. If two people wear the earrings they can hear each other’s thoughts. If one person wears both they hear their own thoughts echo in their mind.

  9. Dead Rat - a dead rat killed by a potent poison.

  10. Glass Ball - a glass ball filled with purple smoke. The glass ball will secrete smoke and if the ball is in the same place for 8 hours a thick fog with cover the area. The fog takes 8 hours to disperse.

  11. Old Picture - an old picture of a brother and sister. They change poses every new moon.

  12. Witches Eye - an eye taken from a witch. The eye does not decay. When near magic the eye blinks.

  13. Vampire Tooth - a tooth taken from a vampire spawn. The bearer adds a +2 to all rolls when regaining hit points from hit die during a short rest.

  14. Purple Tentacle - a small lead box with a wriggling purple tentacle inside.

  15. Banshee Whistle - a light blue whistle that when blown into sounds like a banshees wail. Once a long rest the whistle can be blown and all creatures in 60 feet must make a DC 13 constitution saving throw or take 3d6 psychic damage and no damage on a successful save.

  16. Child’s Heart - the heart of a child that was used in scientific experimentation. The heart will occasionally bleed at night. The heart does not decay.

  17. Shadow Quartz - a white chalky stone with strange black mist shrouding it.

  18. Illithid Brain - a purple brain that pulses when psychic energy is nearby. The brain still has thoughts and can be read if the reader can speak undercommon.

  19. Tome of Deep Speech - those who hold the tome can understand and speak deep speech. The tome is filled with random scribblings in deep speech.

  20. Vivicia’s Lipstick - a stick of black lipstick that is cold to the touch. The lipstick has a ghost trapped inside of it. Those who use the lipstick can be used as a vessel for her to speak through.

  21. Vial of Blood - a vial of blood from an ancient black dragon that has died long ago. The vial fills up every midnight and can burn through most metals.

  22. Devils Signature - a strip of paper with a devils signature written in blood. The paper is very warm.

  23. Final Message - a green bottle that has magic mouth casted on it. When opened the message is of a crying man saying to his wife how sorry he is and how nobody should go through the duskfall forest. The message will play over and over again until the bottle is closed. The message can be reheard once a day.

  24. Knife Handle of The Burbank Butcher- a knife handle that belonged to a notorious serial killer. Before he was hanged he said that he will live on through others. The handle will cause the bearer to feel less sympathy and more anger.

  25. Cursed Mirror - a mirror where your reflection is it’s own sentient being. The reflection will talk about how you are cursed and laugh at your misfortune. In reality the mirror isn’t cursed and the reflections are just fey trying to have fun with the people from the material plain.

  26. Tainted Glasses of The Occult - a pair of glasses that lets the wielder see into the nine hells.

  27. Music Box - an off key music box with a ballerina that’s missing a head. There’s a note written in blood inside the box saying “smile”.

  28. Trapped Demon - a small pit fiend inside an indestructible snow globe that screams for freedom. The pit fiend will tell the party they need the heart of an angel and a devil to free him.

  29. Teddy - a child’s teddy bear that’s been worn down with age.

  30. Rabbit Skull - a rabbits skull that will float at night and have blue fire light from its eyes when it sees someone awake. Witch doctors used these as an alarm system.

  31. Cubed Flesh - a cube of flesh from a flesh golem in a glass box. The cube will try to break out of its glass box when a flesh golem is within 100 feet from it.

  32. Unicorn Figurine - a figurine of a colorful unicorn. The unicorn has a small crack in it. 2d4 Spiders will come out of the crack every hour.

  33. Old Willow Bark - bark from a willow tree that was used to hang witches. The bark will moan and cry occasionally.

  34. Unknown Creature - a small pink ball that has organs and a pulse. The creature can hold its breath for 2 months and secretes a liquid that puts out fires. the creature is omnivorous and eats by soaking up liquids. The creature needs a meal once a week.

  35. Tarot Deck - a deck of tarot cards where when the card is drawn it glows and burns its name into the chest of the one having their fortune read. When the event foretold happens the scar disappears.

  36. Raven Statue - a statue of a raven made of cobalt and iron with amethyst eyes. The statue will look and caw at people who will die soon.

  37. Killers Glove - a glove worn by many serial killers. +1 to stealth and deception. The gloves reflection has blood on it that cannot be washed off.

  38. Goblet of Fire - Any liquid pored into goblet will light on fire; however, the fire is white and not hot to the touch. (The fire is on the astral plane, and only can hurt ghosts or those from the astral plane).

  39. Talking Painting - an old woman in painting that wants to hear a story. The old woman will travel to other paintings.

  40. A Little Mirror - You are shocked to see your eye's missing reflection. Take 2d6 lightning damage. (If the user laughs they are blinded for 1 round).

  41. Pen - a red leather pen that is made from demon hide. The bearer will have nightmares if they have written with it that day. +2 to performance checks involving writing if the pen is used to write.

  42. Minotaur Horn - a horn of a minotaur that went insane. The bearer will begin to see shadowy figures that aren’t really there.

  43. Haunted Door Handle - a golden door handle that when touched will have the creature see family and friends be brutally murdered. The handle has no divination magic and was made by a wizard to keep people from stealing his inventions.

  44. Imp Wing - the wing of an imp wrapped in cloth.

  45. Silver Shell - the shell of a silver bullet that had killed a werewolf. Gain advantage on intimidation checks against werepeople and undead.

  46. Cup of Ancients - a black cup with red runes painted on it. The cup was used to carry blood for rituals.

  47. Wight Claw Necklace - the claw of a wight that is a pendant on a necklace.

  48. Plague Box - an ornate cedar wood box of dead flies. The bearer will have books grow on their face over the course of a week.

  49. Match Book - a book of matches that once lit ignites with fire from the abyss. Abyssal fire does an extra 1d8 necrotic damage and stays lit until blessed or put out with holy water.

  50. Unholy Boots - brown leather boots that are cold to the touch. Those who wear them are considered fiends.

  51. Mummy Lords Pearl - a pearl that belonged to a mummy lord. The pearl is cursed and the dm decides for the bearer to have disadvantage on one roll a day.

  52. Hags Urn - an urn filled with a jags ashes. The ashes are always smoldering. Putting the ashes on an uncommon magical object will remove the magic from the item.

  53. Torch of Hannibal - a torch belonging to the leader of a cannibalistic cult. The torch smells like burning flesh.

  54. Soul Catcher - a dream catcher made with spider silk and old twigs. If a creature stares into the soul catcher for too long does 1d6 necrotic damage to the creature. When a creature is killed by the soul catcher their soul is removed from their body and cannot be revived.

  55. Astral Specs - a pair of glasses that let the wearer see the astral plain. Time feels slower when the glasses are worn. If worn for too long the wearer will see things that there.

  56. Devils Pipe - an oak wood pipe with writing carved on its side in infernal. It reads “let he who smokes from the pipe be damned”.

  57. Frozen Vampire Lips - the frozen lips of a vampire. The lips are cold to the touch and will not be affected by magical and nonmagical fires.

  58. Aquan Ouija Board - a small birdhouse-like design with two doors on its side. The right door opens a black painted wood and the left door opens white painted wood. Tritons would these to contact the dead. Each variation of white and black means something.

  59. Dark Frog - a cast iron frog statue. When it rains the frog emits an aura of dim light. These frogs were made by shadow druids to trap those who wander in their forest with darkness.

  60. Ring of Ghostly Presence - a copper band ring with a black and purple jewel in the center. The wearer can become invisible for 6 seconds once every night. Wearers of the ring are more prone to sense watchers from the astral plane.

  61. Jesters Skull - the skull of a jester that had made fun of the king. The jester was executed soon after.

  62. Kings Skull - the skull of a king who was executed for killing a beloved jester.

  63. Monocle of Night - a silver monocle where the wearer sees everything as if it were night. This item has no effect on wearers with truesight or wearers who can see through illusions.

  64. Infernal Chainlink - a chainlink that once held an archdevil. The chainlink has runes inscribed on it but some have been scratched off.

  65. Spider Hoop Necklace - a necklace pendant made of a silver hoop approximatly 2 inches across, with a live, magical spider spinning a magical web in it's center. The pendant grants the ability to once per day, for 1d4 turns, have blindsight, provided they eat a live insect the size of a cricket or larger, each time they use it.

  66. Twisted Nail - a twisted iron nail six inches long that when touched by a living, sentient creature gets hot within 120 feet of any undead, and red hot within 30 feet provided the undead is not magically shielded from detection. If the undead is shielded from protection, then wielding the nail in one's hand grants advantage on detecting undead within 120 feet. A red hit nail causes half of 1d4 fire damage per round.

  67. Horned Devils Ear - the ear of a horned devil with a bronze earring being worn by it.

  68. Dead moss - a bag holding dead moss. Evil druids use dead mosses and magic to make potent poisons but the ritual requires the blood of a child.

  69. Bag of Fears - a leather sack that has an infinite supply of cockroaches and yellow fog. A string at the top hold them all in. When the string is released fog and cockroaches will seep out of the bag.

  70. Mask of Kroh - a mask that fits kenkus. When worn the eye holes shed 25 feet of dim orange light. The mask belonged to a kenku that had killed many innocents through a spell plague.

  71. Sirens Coin - a silver coin with a siren on heads and a banshee on tails. When the coin is flipped it will make ominous wailing sounds until the outcome is revealed.

  72. Gargoyle of Revelations - a small figurine of a gargoyle made of stone. The gargoyle only laughs but each laugh means something different.

  73. Lantern of Woe - a jack-ó-lantern that is lit only when someone cursed is within 10 feet of it. The lantern of woe does not decay and is indestructible by nonmagical means.

  74. Taxidermists Bat - a taxidermy bat that’s in perfect condition.

  75. Spine Bracelet - a bracelet made of rabbit spines. The bracelet was made by an insane artificer that had not finished enchanting the bracelet before they died.

  76. Bards Will-ó-wisp - an ice cube on fire. The fire is freezing cold and holding the trinket the wrong way deals 2d4 cold damage the the holder. The trinket was made by a bard as an art project. The bard wanted to make a will-ó-wisp and from far away the trinket really does look like a will-ó-wisp.

  77. Vial of Crimson Mist - a vial of red mist with black letters on the vial reading “Vlad”. The mist cannot escape the vial and the vial is sealed with an arcane lock.

  78. Butterflesh - a butterfly made of human flesh. A deranged man made it from his own flesh while spending time in an insane asylum.

  79. Cats Tail - a severed cats tail. The tail still moves and is considered undead.

  80. Talisman of The Priestess - a white stone that belonged to a priestess before she was beheaded. The talisman still has blood stains on it.

  81. Rib of A Phoenix - the rib of a baby phoenix. The rib be lit on fire and used as a torch. The rib is not expended when used as a torch.

  82. Cornelia’s Diary - a leather back book filled with poems and stories from a woman who spent 5 years in the nine hells.

  83. Haunted Brick - a brick taken from a haunted house. The brick grows teeth at night which retract during the day.

  84. Hand of a skeleton goblin - a goblin hand with the flesh stripped from it.

  85. Pot of Knowledge - a brown pot that has a line carved in the middle of it . At midnight the line opens to reveal the the pot has an eye. The eye is 4 inches in diameter. The pot was once worshipped by a cult.

  86. Lock of The Kings Tomb - a broken lock to a tomb of a long dead king.

  87. Tainted Symbol - a holy symbol touched by a devil.

  88. Holy Tears - a bottle of holy water blessed by a priest on his death bed. The water inside the bottle is the priest tears that had blessed the water.

  89. Dead Mans Shirt - a tattered shirt of a man who was flogged to death.

  90. Chessboard of Tyrant Malor - the favorite chessboard of a tyrant who killed over two million people . Each piece feels unholy. If the board is broken it will repair itself. Completely at the next sunrise or sunset.
