AITA for offering to sell makeup palettes to my coworkers at retail value? The palettes showed up on my porch for free

I ordered (and was charged for) one James Charles palette last week. Today when my package arrived, it was a much larger box than I expected. Turns out the company sent me four palettes instead of one. For those who don’t know, this palette is very popular with great reviews and a beautiful rainbow of colors. It costs $40. Basically $120 showed up on my porch today. I’m 20 and I need new rear brakes before winter. I consider this to be an accidental blessing and decide to use my business brain.

I’m a cosmetologist, so therefore most of my coworkers are, too. We like makeup and nail art and changing our hair and all that stuff. So, I sent a snap of the unopened palettes to my salon’s group chat (roughly 20 people are in it). I said, “guys the company sent me extra palettes, let me know if you want to buy one and I’ll bring it to work!”

Coworker 1: Can I have one for freeeee🤗

Coworker 2: Did you pay for all four?

Me: No, but I need work done on my car soon and I’ll knock off a few bucks if anyone’s interested!

Coworker 2: Not how that works. 🤔Bogus.

Coworker 3: Are you serious?

Coworker 4 (trying to calm it down): Oh thats really cool! Today I got a whole sandwich when I only paid for a half, I guess luck is in the air.

Me: Yep just trying to spread the love a little 🥰Now what would be bogus is if I was selling them for a higher price than retail value 😹

Coworker 1: Where’s the love? I don’t see shit

Anyways, for context, coworkers 2 and 3 are generally very hot headed and clique-y together. The first one who wanted free stuff is kinda quiet but very opinionated when she does talk. All of the coworkers who said anything are either in their thirties or forties. I’m trying to take that into account but I still want third party opinions on whether I was bogus. Coworker 2 messaged me privately to tell me that things were officially no longer cool between us, which is fine because we were never close.

Me: I don’t come to work to make friends, it’s just a side effect.

Her: Don’t worry because you aren’t making any friends.

So I just removed her from social media. Anyways, was it that bad? AITA? I have work tomorrow but I’m just going to ignore the people who were rude and be normal and nice with everybody else in the group chat who (wisely) didn’t say anything. Luckily I’m booked up so I won’t have time to hang out in the dangerous place called the break room where all the shit usually goes down.

TL;DR: I got $120 worth of merchandise that I didn’t pay for delivered to my door by accident. Is it bad to sell them?
