Why I love this game.

This will be kinda long, so here. TL;DR is that this is a game that handles what it does with skill, and I love it, also should I get Ori and the Blind Forest, apparently I should like it but will I?

Okay then, the long version: I got this game thinking it would be cool. I underestimated it. This game takes my favorite things about a game and makes them better. For starters: the combat. Oh boy, is it satisfying. The simple swing you start off with is easy to use and hard to master. Then you start gaining spells and nail arts and it just makes you feel like a badass while reminding you constantly that there are badder asses out there who want to kill you. That brings me to the bosses. And I would say that these are one of the high points of the game because how they did the bosses is perfect. Not showing you their health, or health of anything for that matter, makes you constantly feel like you’re just one swing away, and puts you in attack mode, and when you get weak, you go on the defense, and you need to pay high attention to when you can heal. It just makes it so good! And the tracks that play while fighting them are so perfectly fitting of their fight. Segway to: the music. What more is there to say? It’s awesome. Now to the other art in the game, the, um, art. The color palette is so fitting of the world they are trying to establish, with the dark cool colors to make it feel kind of depressing and lively at the same time. And that makes places and bosses like the Grimms, Radiances, the Infected Crossroads, and dream bosses pop so much. It just feels right to me. And finally, the exploration and world. It is huge, but filled with life and secrets to keep you on your toes. And the fast travel is good for zipping from zone to zone, if where you need to be is quite far. It keeps you enticed, while being large enough to not feel too dense. So, with everything I’ve said, should I get Ori? Ever since I’ve mentioned I like Hollow Knight, everyone who has played it have been recommending it to me. But is it as worth it as it sounds? Please answer honestly, I need to know if I should get it on the switch release. Thank you and goodnight.
