The Knight for Smash Ultimate

Obviously, The Knight has great moveset potential, and they are definitely on of my most wanted characters, so I wanted to see what y'all would think about the moveset I thought of

The Knight would be an above average lightweight/below average mid-weight with great mobility

Jab- 2 hit swing with his nail, based on the basic attack in game

F tilt- 3 hit attack that isn't actually based on anything the Knight does; its based on the three hit attack in the Hollow Knight boss fight

Up Tilt- a quick swing above their head, just like in game

Down Tilt- A low to the ground swing that can trip opponents

Dash Attack- uses the sharp shadow charm; the knight shade dashes forward; anyone hit will take damage, but very minimal knockback, but the Knight is invincible for the duration of the move

F Smash- uses the Dream Nail; works similarly to Zero Suit's Down smash, where it doesn't do much damage, but it will stun opponents

Up Smash - uses howling wraiths; causes an explosion of souls above the knight; up and down smash tie into gimmick that Ill explain later

Down smash - Desolate dive; Jumps in the air, and slams downwards, sending shockwaves on both sides of the knight

N Aerial - Thorns of Agony charm; sends out thorny vines around the knight, like ingame

F, Up, and D Aerials would all be the same as in game, just a quick slash in that direction; if the d air hits anything that is not the stage (item, projectile, opponent, etc.) would bounce them up for a bit a vertical height

GIMMICKS The knight would have two gimmicks, 1 major, and 1 smaller one. The major would be their soul meter. The meter would be by his healthbar, and he would gain soul from damaging opponents. All attacks that use soul are some of The Knight’s most powerful attacks, and the attacks that use soul are their neutral special, side special, up smash, and down smash. The Knight's smaller gimmick is that they would be super agile in the air, just as he is in game. This means the knight would be able to turn around mid air by holding back on the controller. He wouldn't have a back air, because he would just turn around and use his f air.

SPECIALS N Special: Focus- uses the most soul of any attack (half the soul meter); hold the button down to heal a good amount of health (20-25 percent); if the knight is interrupted mid focus, they doesn't regain the soul

Side special: Shade soul- shoots a powerful blast forward, but like ingame; uses a third of the soul meter

Down Special- Nail arts; hold down button to charge a nail art; nail art changes depending on which way you are holding the analog stick when releasing the button; You can hold the charge as long as needed, but you can’t use any special moves and you can’t shield, dodge, or roll while holding the charge; Holding up uses the cyclone slash, which is a multihit move that can actually gain a bit off vertical height (think of Link's spin attack); holding sideways uses the dash slash, which deals good damage and knockback and dashes a good distance, but will put the knight into freefall; holding down or not holding in any direction will use the great slash, which is one of the Knight’s strongest attacks, but has a bit of endlag

Up Special: I had two ideas for their up special, so I'll put both; Crystal Heart- the knight charges up a dash that goes in any direction you face (unlike in game where you can only go horizontal); doesn't have a hitbox, but goes a good distance (same as Fox's up special) and doesn't put the knight into freefall; Dreamgate- press up special to set up a dreamgate; using up special again make the knight travel to the dreamgate from anywhere on stage, but it has a bit of startlag, and has a cooldown similar to Wario's bike

Final Smash: uses the final attack against the Radiance; The Hollow Knight's shade appears behind the Knight, dashing forward, grabbing anyone they hit, while the knight breaks their shell apart, becoming their shade version; The knight rapidly attacks anyone caught, before ending with the Siblings coming up from the bottom, pulling anyone down; anyone below 100 is launched back upwards, and anyone over 100 is instantly KO’d

OTHER STUFF Taunts: Up - same pose when challenging a boss; turns back to the screen, enters a defensive stance, and draws out nail Down - a quick bow; not a reference to anything in particular, except how some bosses bow during the fight ( nail masters and Grimm) Side - one of he knights companions (hatchling, weaverlings, or the grimmchild) flys around their body while they watch them

Victory screens: 1) The Knight would focus a bunch of soul, like when acquiring a new spell, then disappear 2) The Knights would slash twice with the dream nail, then disappear through a dream gate 3) The knight would walk on screen, being follow by one of his companions, then sit at a bench. After a while, the Knight will fall asleep, and his companion would rest on the ground.

That’s the entire moveset. Feel free to criticize anything you see wrong in the comments. I also wanted to make movesets for Hornet and the Hollow Knight, but for Hornet, I was gonna wait until Silksong came out.
