TLDR- I’m bad. Help.
As title says. Main issue right now is the dive attack- my first instinct is to dash, then I panic after realising I should’ve jumped and decide to jump and pogo after the dash instead of straight away and end up just down slashing into the flames. Doesn’t matter how much I tell myself to jump when he appears in the air, I can’t stop myself.
Less often but still an issue is the reverse- I see him coming towards me for the uppercut, instinct is to jump instead of dash. Generally happens after being a complete idiot to the dive and then getting confused.
I’m also horrific at dodging the projectiles from his ground dash thing. I just run directly into them, despite knowing that staying put and adjusting slightly is the better decision. I panic and take hits to the spikes, too.
I have shape of unn + deep focus so I can heal during pillars, only issue is my reaction time generally means I don’t realise that he’s doing pillars instead of the dive quick enough and can only get one, if any heals out.
By far the biggest issue is my tendency to just panic when something goes wrong. I literally got up to his 75% attack hitless, then did some stupid movement and got hit by the bats, after which I panicked and got hit twice by the uppercut, then saw him in the air and started healing for no reason and died to the dive. From hitless to literally getting hit by every single attack. I also have a tendency to attempt ridiculous heals after something goes horrifically wrong (like being hit twice by the uppercut)
I think about 3/4 times I’ve got him down to 50%? But since that’s now my marker for “holy shit this might be it” I usually die within the next 10 seconds. It’s odd though, if I make it through the first few attacks I’ll generally make it to 50%. Right now I’m getting utterly destroyed (getting hit by every attack) 3 times then getting to 50%, repeat.
I’m just annoyed at this point because I know for a fact I can do it (if I can do the first 1/4 of the fight hitless I should be able to manage the whole thing with 9 masks and healing).
Some general points about my skill level, the radiance took me about 2/3 hours with all the healing charms, haven’t beat Paintmaster Sheo yet as I struggle a lot with projectiles and struggled far more than I should’ve with the first pantheon. Can’t beat the trial of the fool. On my first playthrough I had to literally get every possible upgrade in order to beat the watcher knights.
I fight mainly with normal nail hits- only time I’ve ever used nail arts is for the bastard flies in the second trial. I think I used a spell build on the watcher knights but not really after that- I prefer nail/healing builds.
