For those who can't easily recycle, search out a STEAM studio or something similar and donate recyclables to them!

My city recently did away with the recycling program. Now, you can only recycle organic goods. Plastic can be taken to one location. It can be inconvenient for a lot of people who would recycle if they had an easy way to. It's also a way for those who live outside the city to recycle as our transfer station and organics recycling is only for city residents.

One thing we've starting doing is donating materials to the local makerspace/STEAM studio. At the bottom, I'll include the list of everything they take.

It's nice because it gets reused by kids and teens that are going to be the next generation of scientists, tech workers, engineers, artists, and mathematicians. Our local place has robotics classes where they make robots out of all of these donations.

Just a thought if you've got stuff that either can't be recycled, or is still in decent shape that you would prefer to reuse a bit more.
