I just read (un)breakable strength does not effect nail art attacks. Would two nail strikes do more damage?

I am fighting the Nightmare King Grimm and I'm wondering which is a better strategy. For his flame piller attack, there is enough time to charge a nail art. But if i go for normal quick slashes I can consistently get two hits in. If unbreakable strength doesn't help the nail arts then would the two strikes do more damage? I have the fully upgraded nail if that plays into it.
