What I learned about true beauty after visiting the art museum

Earlier, I visited Museo Del Prado in Madrid. I wanted to soak up as much as I could by being genuinely curious about the works and wondering about their origin. One collection in particular caught my attention. It’s a set of eight different statues of women representing different things such as history, comedy, geometry, astronomy, etc. Here’s a few things I took away.

  1. These statues were made by fucking MEN that had to figure out how to get a rock big enough into their workshop using whatever tech available to them ~2000 years ago. Then they had to use their world class skills to meticulously chisel away at said rock in a process that takes months if not years . Let that sink in. The creator(s) of these statues were amongst the best sculptors, and some of the brightest creative minds to ever grace this earth. This made me take whatever idea they had of true beauty very seriously.

  2. None of these statues have unusually large breasts or ass that we see every day on social media, billboards, commercials, and obviously when we engage in PMO. Instead, the work emphasizes how these women carry themselves. Notice their posture, where they’re facing, and the way they’re sitting. It shows true confidence, cleverness, and kindness - qualities that are unquestionably more valuable than a set of fake tits, fake ass, fake nails, and faces drenched in makeup.

  3. Unfortunately, physical traits have become the highlight of beauty in our culture. This originally wasn’t a bad thing. I love a girl with a nice body as much as anyone else, it’s in our DNA! The problem was that over time, this became so distorted when people figured out ways to enhance “beauty” past realistic expectations (plastic surgery, advanced photo-editing software, etc).

  4. One thing NoFap taught me was that as I kept building up streaks, failing, and getting up again, I began to value the same traits the ancient sculptors did. Instead of focusing on the hottest body, I started to appreciate women for their wit, confidence, intelligence, values, and kindness instead.

  5. This change in perspective helps in all relationships, not just romantic ones. Why? Because as culture became more focused on distorted physical reality, women began to develop a strange “instinct” that tells them what a man’s true intentions are in order to prevent them from being taken advantage of. Don’t underestimate women, their smart motherfuckers. Having the same values as the ancients is the characteristic of a true man, and women will take notice of this if it’s truly your intentions. Making our lives a lot easier.

  6. Too many people today are using women as a means to an end of getting a nut in, and if you do that, you’re just being a manipulative asshole. The last step is to use this appreciation for true beauty to inspire you to spend time with the person you’re attracted to FOR ITS OWN SAKE. Next time you are attracted to someone, and you’re able to make plans together, treat the plans as an end in and of itself. If you do this, Instead of thinking “This girl is attractive, I wanna have sex with her”, you’ll be thinking “This girl is attractive, I can’t wait to spend time with her, and whatever happens happens”. This makes dates have a lot less pressure and just everything an overall better experience.

TL;DR: As men, we should set our unrealistic physical expectations aside in order to focus and appreciate women more for their confidence, kindness, etc in the same way the ancients once did.
