In this video, you will see my son playing the piano. https://iavican.divdns.ca:59443/index.php/s/dDHo4MPqcw87CJf
Here are some points about our son, in chronological order:
- age 0-3 , he did not sleep the recommended hours..not even close. He was always tired and slept around 6-7 hours a night.
- age 3-4 , he met with a pediatric sleep expert who confirmed our son is not autistic or has any other developmental issue, that he just needs more sleep. We were asked to provide his blood sample, checking his FERRITIN levels, and proceeded with iron supplementation (elemental not vegetable). Sleep improved.
- age 4-6 , he started public school where kids make fun of boys who wear nail polish (my son) , and we noticed he was not identifying with any of the kids..except for the overactive / "bad" kids.
*Sports is not the answer. We tried putting him into sports, and martial arts..however, because he has a short attention span he spent more time being disciplined than learning how to be active.
- age 7 , today, he is going into grade 2, cannot read or write because he refuses to spend time learning, HOWEVER, he is amazing at tasks that he enjoys...therefore we are pulling him out of public school and putting him into an Environmental school run by our public school district. The school teaches students in a communal environment, K-7, outdoors only for 10 months. They come inside for one month during the coldest part of the year.
It's because of his dedication to Piano that I have no fear whatsoever about his future. He has only been playing for two months. I know he will succeed in life, but it's my job to make him feel accepted and comfortable along the way.
Hope this helps
