I want to get an HRV monitor to gauge how much I'm recovering between workouts, but I don't want one I have to wear all the time because I can't wear it during my martial arts training (it's just going to get destroyed).
I was looking at a finger monitor, but I read that they give inaccurate readings due to nail polish, low blood pressure or poor circulation. I have arthritis in my fingers due to Judo and BJJ, so I don't trust their accuracy.
Does anyone know if I can just wear a wrist monitor to take morning readings, basically like a finger monitor would do? Or do I have to wear the thing all day?
