So, I've joined a niche little group fo a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Tabletop game, set in the 1850's, in the vein of Steel Ball Run. From what I've heard of most of these guys, they're each thinking of using Stands, but I was wondering how the Spin could be implemented, preferably alongside a Stand, like Johnny and Tusk. With Johnny's nails, we can see that it doesn't necessarily have to be a Steel Ball of sorts to infuse it with the Spin, and that got me thinking of ideas for a potential character. The GM says he'll handle all the mechanical stuff, we just need to come up with a fully fleshed out idea.
I was thinking an African-American/Mexican drawn from his home in the South in the hunt for Gold (the main draw of this fake Part), and the first idea I came up with was them using the air itself thanks to their Stand, creating small whirlwinds, big enough to knock over bad guys. Maybe he'd carry razors, wire, oil or needles. Grains of sand could turn it into sandpaper that strip skin from enemies. Maybe with enough control, you could spin air to create pressure differentials and redirect art. Eventually becoming an Airbender, essentially.
However, that just seems like a Stand? Like, on it's own, just a winds based Stand. Plus, it's somewhat hard relating the concept of the Spin to this on it's own. So, I decided to come to some of the more imaginative folk here on Reddit's JoJo community! What kind of Spin & Stand using character do you think would fit in such a setting? Should I try to flesh out my previous idea, or maybe they'd have a different conduit for using the Spin? How would they evolve as a character & fighter? Also, what kind of design would the Stand have? I like the more unique ones, like Mandom, Chocolate Disco, etc. Anyways, thanks for reading, I can imagine this is a rather niche post, but any help/interesting ideas would be awesome!
