I've got ~40 hrs in and just got to nosk, but he beats my ass everytime.

I have 6 masks and no vessel. I have a channelled nail and a nail art (great slash). Am I trying this too early? After I get some damage on him, he justs jumps up and drops the orange goo. And he repeats this attack 5-6 times. It's extremely boring and nerve-wracking. Tips?
