I have owned Hollow Knight since release date. I have 18 hours on record. I have tried, so friggin hard, to make something out of this game. And I love it; love the style, the animations, the art, I love Team Cherry for what they have been able to accomplish and I love their philosophy as a small Dev team.
However, I am thorn... I can't beat the Sanctum boss in City of Tears and I feel completely lost and jaded with its difficulty. I have also ditched the game for almost 9 months, since I feel I'm getting nowhere. I played for ten minutes today, and the time was largely spent getting my timing back before getting bored of constantly dying again.
I need serious motivation to continue playing this game, despite my love for it and wanting to see every corner of it, including the DLCs... I'm kinda ashamed I can't get good enough for it
EDIT 24 hours later:. I spent at least 5 hours exploring (I hate the Distant Village now...like, only one stag stop for all the fucking legwork ? r u srs Team Cherry ?
Anyways, got my first pale ore, upgraded nail to channeled and gave a whopping on my first try (this year lol) to the Soul Master. Ye boi!!!
