Hello fellow Keions!
I'm still dreaming about drawing my own K-ON! Manga strip some day (a cute YuiAzu reunion story after the college arc of course!). Although I improved my drawing skills in the past two years I'm still ... well ... a little bit noobish when it comes to drawing people and backgrounds in anime style. I want to imitate the typical KyoAni drawing style, but I don't really know what it is making it so special and cute. I know, there are some "moe blob" archtypes like very small hands, huge heads etc.; the basic anime stuff, but I don't know ... just look at some of my pictures:

I don't know, I used the same color for Mios hair that was used in the anime, but now that I'm looking at it it's very light and greyish, not black. Is the shadow to extreme maybe? Or should I add more shadow? I have a huge problem when it comes down to anime Hair shadows because I never know how it's done, one thing I noticed about the K-ON! hair is that the shadow at one material (hair, skin, clothes etc.) always has one color, there are no differend shades of black/grey in Mios hair for example. But where should I put these simplified shadows and the white light stripes? :o
And then there are the outlines. I don't know, I always make them black, but maybe I should do them in a little bit more lighter tone? Grey or dark brown maybe? The outlines look so smooth in the official art and not to thick, they just look like they're nothing special at all. Round and "cute" most of the time, but nothing really special...? They aren't even thicker or thiner at some parts. What is that trick! ._. I wanna be a good artisuu too!
