I was watching the Naruto vs Pain fight and the middle near end confused me a bit

I might not even be through the whole fight, I paused it as Pain is forming that big ass planet thing but I couldn't get this off my mind. The middle to end of the fight when they are still within the village seems strange to me. The art style really changes and some of the ways the attacks are sent and received seem almost childlike i.e. Pain being hammered into the floor like a nail and the very odd close ups. I was just wondering if their is any explanation for this.

Side note: Also hate that six tail Naruto can get through Pain's Almighty Push but is then fended off in hand to hand pretty quick but I might just be tired and nit picking LOVE the show tho
