PoE: How I think it could be improved

I started playing warframe when the PoE update came out so it’s very close to my heart. At first I enjoyed the big open landscape of it but after a while it began more of a chore to play. And until recently with the release of Fortuna, I didn’t know why. The fortuna update open my eyes to all the tedious, boring and annoying things in the plains.

First, mining and fishing: in my opinion, they have been fixed with fortuna. Before, mining was annoying to me as having to trace a shape with a mouse when playing a game when accuracy isn’t everything due to shotguns. Fishing was better than mining but still not amazing. It was more fun but still not very interactive. Fortuna fixes both of my issues. Both mining and fish have mini games that are easy enough to complete, but without making it feel like you will always win.

Moving on, let’s talk about movement. With PoE, you have a few means of transport, standard running, warframe movement abilities and archwing as well as dargyn (I think I spelt that wrong). Running is too slow, warframe abilities run out of energy quickly and you feel too safe with the aerial means of travel. Once again, fortuna hit the nail on the head. The k-drive is a fast way to travel while still having a possibility of being killed while on it from standard corpus. And it doesn’t make you feel invincible as you can fall off with some of the most amazing rag doll physics I’ve ever seen.

Now onto eidolons. Nice fun engaging gameplay. My only problem with it is that on the eidolon hunts, you aren’t locked out if you haven’t completed the second dream or the war within because otherwise you can’t damage it’s shields. However this isn’t too much of a problem.

So, how can we fix the map of PoE? First of all fortuna is bigger, however that isn’t what makes it better. What makes it so good is how fleshed out the world is and everything has a place. The world feels alive with the roads between bases filled with corpus on foot and in their wheely Bois. PoE doesn’t have this. It feels like they got some big empty grassland and added some grineer bases. To me, it’s isn’t alive. So I thought, how could PoE be improved without a complete remake? And the answer is the sky. We already have flying eidolon concept art, archwing launchers and dargyns. Why not add grineer airship bases! It would add to the reasoning behind why the grineer have so many aerial offences we have never seen before, because their main bases are above the ground! This is just my opinion thought, so feel free to add to it or give your own opinion.

Sorry if the writing isn’t too good. I don’t do big reviews like this often and this is my biggest ever reddit post.
