I think I'm at my wits end so this will be a rant.
Basically I only started getting eczema about 3 years ago after getting hives. It's weird though, I've only gotten hives once from sushi, and ever since then I've been fine. However, I got a major eye inflammation summer 2018 where it got completely shut swollen, and with it being the first time ever I went to a small urgent care. Silly me, thought I would not be able to breathe or something. Needless to say, I went to get allergy tested. My only allergy is dust (which sucks) but I haven't gotten stuffy/swollen since then.
The only thing that really concerns me is this dry, tightness-feeling, flaky, wrinkly finger eczema? on my pointer finger. I've been using over the counter ointments like Eucerin Eczema Relief, or Cortisone10 and although it does help make the skin look smoother, it still manages to come back after 2 or 3 days. And don't mention the nail... the nail is like, completely engulfed by minuscule crater/pits. The wrinkles, it looks like my finger is always submerged in water, and it's a walking raisin. I even lost some of my fingerprint (phone can't recognize the tip of it)
I hate it. I've always have been a hands person with arts like knitting, painting, ceramics, and now I'm just bummed out because I know that sometimes it could start spreading, and all I want to do is cut off my finger. I don't even know what this is and my insurance is awful, doctors just prescribe anti histamines that you can get over the counter. I'm tired lol. Oh by the way, I live in Florida which is like, humidity land.
Thanks for reading, what are your experiences when you first started your symptoms?
