I am really sorry friends...

Hello there friends!

I just wanted to say that I heard the news recently, and I just wanted to extend my condolences to the community, Im really sorry about this, as I have suffered the same just recently.

Let me explain...

A while back, in a little corner of twitch, a group of people came together to pay respects and final goodbyes to a game that we fell in love with but had no chance of staying alive...

Gigantic

Maybe some of you have heard the name, a 3rd person, class based PvP shooter with objectives whose art-style and gameplay stole the hearts of a select few, it wasn't a perfect game, but what it was we loved dearly. We came together and enjoyed the final hours in happy bliss, with some streamers playing, a very active chat and a member of Motiga, the team that made the game, coming onto the stream to share with us un-released content and such.

The end of that stream was marked by heart-felt goodbyes from everyone and a onion-cutting video made by said members and the community. Some of us are still dealing with the fall-out, the game was shut down on July 31st...it is September 13th and I'm still trying to mend my scar, I've been trying out other games, but none have gripped me like Gigantic did, they're not bad, but...yeah, you feel my point.

That being said, I have to admit, that for you, it's worse, Wildstar wasn't a 3rd person class-based shooter, it was a vibrant, breathing world where people came together in communities to enjoy company and memories, to build houses and share experiences, and to see your homes, built from the ground with your sweat and effort, slowly crumbling is nothing short of a nail being slowly pushed straight into your very soul.

I have played Wildstar, I still have it in steam, and I had plans to return when I settled some of my stuff, but hearing that it would suffer the same fate as my beloved Gigantic, well, I didn't think I'd suffer from flashbacks, but I somewhat did (it wasn't that bad, but still).

Once again, I'm sorry and I hope that you are well during and after the last breaths that Wildstar is to take, I went through it, and it was as painful as you think it will be, maybe worse for some.

Here's to good times and better futures...

Sincerely, genpai
