Need help with polish selection

Hi everyone! Figured I’d come ask you since I admire your gorgeous nail art from afar. My horse recently bit my finger pretty bad and the nail bed down to the base is bruised & Black (you can see the bruised nail under the skin). I understand it’ll take months to grow the bruised part out but I work in a highly visible job that requires contact with many people outside of my organization, and I’ll be in my sister’s wedding in about 3 months and don’t want to keep showing off my nasty finger.

The problem I have is that nail polish does not stick to my nails. I have tried many brands of polish, gone to the salon and paid extra for gel polish...nothing. It always comes off within 3 hours or so even if I’m not at the barn. Does anyone have recommendations on nail polishes that would hold up a little longer, or techniques I can try to get polish to stay on? I’m also not opposed to going to a salon to get things done right but I have no idea what to ask for if I do. I’m looking for something like a nude or light pink that is not obvious but will cover up my disgusting finger for the time being. Thanks!
