Just beat NKG for the first time and I figured I should share how I did it.

My build:

• Sharp Shadow: I used shadow dash to dodge through a lot of Grimm’s attacks, so the damage and extended length was helpful.

• Dashmaster: More dash damage and even longer distance.

• Joni’s Blessing: There wasn’t much time to heal, so I needed extra masks for survivability.

• Grimmchild

Strategy:

• Spike/uppercut attack: Shadow dash through Grimm and avoid the fireballs.

• Carrot dive attack: Shadow dash through Grimm after he lands.

• Flame pillar attack: Inch toward Grimm and get at least one nail strike in. Shadow dash through a pillar if you are cornered. If you have the opportunity to use Abyssal Shriek instead a nail attack, do it.

• Blowfish attack: Make small jumps and only jump when you have to.

• Bat stagger: Try to get in two Abyssal Shrieks on Grimm.

Other Info:

• I had 8 masks (12 with Joni’s Blessing) and 2 soul vessels.

• I had the coiled nail.

• I had all of the shade spells and nail arts, but I only used Abyssal Shriek.
