Platforms: Xbox? Could have also been PS1/2
Genre: Probably shooter/action
Estimated Year of Release: 2004-2007?
Graphic Art/Style: I want to say it played sort of like Banjo Kazooie, where you’re viewing your character from behind in colorful, puzzle-like maps. It also had a militaristic war theme to it- the characters had wore military uniforms and had guns, helmets, etc. while also being animals.
Notable Characters: All characters were animals, I believe. The enemy was an army of dogs I think. I distinctly remember that there’s a part where you have to take out this boss/commander who’s a brown dog with long, floppy ears. When you finally kill him, there’s an explosion and he’s ripped off of his feet. He finds a boot with his foot still in it- a bone is sticking out of the top of it- and he dies as he’s crawling towards it.
Notable Gameplay Mechanics: Like I said, it was a shooter that played similar to Banjo-Kazooie. You’re viewing your character from behind and your shooting guns and there’s explosions and stuff.
Other Details: I know I am NOT thinking of Conker. It is very similar, I understand, but I watched several hours of gameplay videos on YouTube and came to the conclusion that I’m thinking of a different game. Also, I think I saw this when my older brother and his friend rented the game from Blockbuster, back when it was popular. I seem to remember my brother renting the Overlord game some time after this one. Maybe that helps nail the time period.
Thanks in advance!
