6 years ago I studied abroad to Australia, the Uni of Wollongong. Tuesdays nights we’d gather in the common area and an open mic was set up and ppl could go up and tell stories. This aussie gets up there and starts blabbin about how she finds stars all over the place, no matter where she goes, and when she sees one, she takes a moment to appreciate what is going on & what she has in life. I rolled my eyes and decided it was a good time to go pee. As im sitting on the toilet taking my time, I notice the tiniest little star, like an art and craft star, but it was smaller than my pinky toe nail, TINY. And silver, the same color as the tiling. At first I was proud that I even spotted it, considering it was small and blended in so well. Than I remembered the story I had walked out on…it was the weirdest thing, it was just a coincidence, I thought. As time went on, stars would creep up out of no where, in the oddest places; sand at the beach, under my menu at a restaurant (even though he handed us the menus after we sat down and it wasn't there), on the counter in my bathroom, the bottom of my shoe, the list goes on. The stars are all colors and sizes; the smallest was the first one, the biggest is the size of my head I found in a field with my boyfriend (who gets creeped out when they pop up around him). 70% of the time I find them on the floor, or a sidewalk, so inconspicuously that whoever I’m with is baffled as to how I even spotted it.
I started to collect them, as much as I can at least, sometimes it just looks weird to be picking trash off the floor and sticking it into my purse. I posted a picture of a few (my shelf’s a mess and I didn't feel like digging for the rest) but I will post the others when I can.
…theres more after finding one when I was with my mom, I proceeded to tell her the story, she didn't say much about it, and that was it. the next few weeks they were popping up around my mom, she started taking them home to show me, and its seemed to continue with her.
I told my boyfriend about it when I found one with him and he gave me a weird look lol, but later that week he found one on his desk at work (in a cubicle) and threw it away he was so freaked out, that was the last of him finding one solo.
I told a coworker when I found a star near her and she also didn't say much, but the next day she comes in saying she found a little star on the driver’s seat of her car after work.
They've come up around a few of my friends solo, but none of them have been as consistent as my mom that I know of. Is this because my mom actually kept some of hers?
Has anyone heard of this? I feel like I must be crazy and just hyperaware of noticing stars, and the law of attraction is working itself. But when I find stars in subtle and odd places, the jerk of energy I feel down my back makes me imagine something else at play.
