Beautiful and Spacious room in Brookline Available Ready Now!

Available Room: 14.5 ft x 11 ft; closet; AC window unit; remote control ceiling light and fan; unfurnished; window looks onto Stetson Street (faces east). OR 9 ft x 12 ft; closet; AC window unit; windows face west.

Rent: $1,285 per month plus utilities. Utilities: hot water and heat included; gas, electricity, cable, and Internet not included. On average it would be $5 per person for gas, $25 per person for electricity, and $45 per person for Internet (I do not have cable). With utilities, rent would be about $1,360. The building does not allow pets.

About the current roommate: I am a 29 year old female, and have lived in this apartment for almost four years. I really love it here! It gets a lot of light and has lots of windows. I’m an early-to-bed-early-to-rise person and am likely to have a friend or two over several times a week. I am looking for one roommate, and am not interested in converting the common space into a third room.

As described above, the available room is unfurnished. The common areas are furnished (dining table, couch, TV, coffee table, wall art, medicine cabinet, etc.), although if you have furniture I’m sure we can accommodate! There are built in book-shelves that are really nice. I have a toaster oven, a blender, plates/bowls/silverware/mugs, and a bunch of other kitchen stuff.

Amenities: coat closet, dishwasher, garbage disposal, gas stove/electric oven, basement storage unit; bathroom fan; basement laundry room (2 washers, 2 dryers; $1.50 per load per machine. It isn’t a lot of machines for a whole building, but I rarely have issues). Parking: there is an off-street parking spot in the open-air lot behind the building for $180/month.

Public transportation: Green lines B (Babcock Street) and C (St. Paul/Coolidge Corner), and

buses 66 (to Harvard) and 57.

Neighborhood: residential, lots of families and dogs, quiet (with the occasional exception of the nearby fire station), and two small green spaces with benches on either side of Stetson Street. It doesn’t feel like you live in a city, yet it’s only a short walk to two major roads (Commonwealth Ave and Beacon St).

Access to essentials: Nearby access to both Star Market and Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods is a few stops away on the T. Easy access to UPS and USPS; several CVS stores as well as an urgent care clinic; and many different banks. There isn’t much of a nightlife, although several restaurants do have bars. See below for a list of businesses nearby. Coolidge Corner: CVS, Trader Joe’s, Peet’s Coffee, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, several pizza places, Zaftig’s Deli, Cold Press Juicery, a Japanese tea house, a specialty foods store, Temptations Café, Otto’s (pizza), J.P. Lick’s (ice cream), Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, European Wax Center, Minilux (nail salon), The Gap, Healthworks (gym), Coolidge Corner Yoga, Pure Barre, Brookline Booksmith, and Coolidge Corner Theater.

Packard’s Corner/BU area: Star Market, Super 88 (Asian grocery store/dining), Clear Flour Bakery (where I work!), CVS, GymIt, Landry’s Bicycles, YogaWorks, T.Anthony’s (quick dining pizza/pasta/sandwiches), a small Target, etc.
