After 6 hours of attempts I finally managed to beat The Radiance but only after ignoring all the advice!

After reaching the Radiance and failing to get very far I started to do some research and everywhere recommended that the easiest way to win was by forgoing healing by using lifeblood charms and concentrating on spamming Abyssal Shriek as much as possible.

I tried that method for hours upon hours and while it seemed to work well during the first phase, I just could not get through the second phase (where you have to fight on platforms). The Radiance was just too quick for me and I would take too much damage trying to chase her down.

Finally I decided to go back to my original play style which had gotten me through every boss fight up until this point, namely using nail arts and dashing.

So my set up was Sharp Shadow, Nailmaster’s Glory, Quick Focus, Lifeblood Heart and Stalwart Shell.

Using this set up and concentrating on using Great Slash and Dash Slash and then healing whenever I needed I was able to beat the Raidiance in a couple of attempts.

Quick focus makes healing a breeze if you know which of her attacks allows you to stand still for a second, especially in the later stages of the fight. When she stands in the middle and the swords fall vertically I was easily able to heal back up to full. Then when fighting on the platforms I found often I was at a safe enough distance to comfortably heal up while waiting for her to teleport nearer.

The lesson here is to not always assume that just because someone else found a certain playstyle easier that you will too, so sometimes it’s best to stick with what you know best!
