Grades in high school?

Ok, so I'm a 17 year old homeschooler who's dual enrolled at my local community college. For those of you who don't know what that means, I'm in high school but I take all of my classes at the community college. It's pretty great, I take as many classes as a regular high school student but I'm in class less, get college credits (I'll have all my nursing prerequisites done by the time I graduate and I'll only have to take 5 classes to get my ADN!), and it's super cheap; the summer math I'm taking was literally $5.

Now, when I first started my dual enrollment I wasn't a very serious student. I was 15, had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do with my life (I didn't decide on nursing until I took a class last semester that really helped me nail down a career path and college plan), and I had spent the last year in a private "school" that was VERY lenient and barely taught us anything (not the only reason I left or even the main one but thank god I did, it was TERRIBLE). I was also dealing with a lot of personal stuff which really distracted me.

As a result, my first semester I dropped 2/3 classes I took, I think my second semester was something similar. It wasn't just that, some of the classes I took I didn't fully understand what it was and ended up in a class I didn't like. Like, I took a physics class because I thought it would be science heavy and focus a lot on space; but it involved a lot of math, some of which I hadn't even learned yet. My school has free tutoring for students which I tried but it was so over my head no matter what I did. I've withdrawn from 6 classes, 7 if you count the physics lab as a separate class. Now, they weren't essential to my high school diploma or to the prenursing pathway I'm now on (I was previously on a generic associates in Arts pathway because I didn't know what I wanted to do), and one was just an elective related to neither pathway, but even so, it worries me. It won't make me graduate late, either, since I had skipped a grade so it just evens out and I'll graduate on time.

I also got a C in a math class (well, actually she withdrew me from the class so it wouldn't count against me but I took it twice) which I later retook but I got a C again (I understood the material better the second time around but I missed a couple quizzes which really brought my grade down which sucked). That's my only C that I have. I would retake it again but I'm not sure if that'll look like I'm just desperate to get a better grade. I know I could, but I don't want it to make me look worse. Is there any way my school could wipe the record that I ever even took it or is it truly permanent?

My high school GPA is high, a 4.0 since dual enrolled classes are on the same 5.0 scale as AP classes, and because I've taken other high school classes before I became dual enrolled. My college GPA is a 3.0 but I'm working on getting it higher. Aside from that one C, all of my classes are As and Bs. Mostly Bs but I'm much more serious about school now and am trying to get As in every class I take from now on. I also haven't dropped any classes recently, and my transcript will show that all of the classes I dropped were when I was younger and just starting at college.

My question is; how badly will this count against me? I'm applying for nursing school at the community college I'm currently attending since they have a pretty great program and I'll save money, but it is community college so it's not like it's a very famous institution that would be especially hard to get into. After that I'll do an RN to BSN program, probably through my job. Still, they do have a point system and a limited number of slots which stresses me out a bit. I'm working very hard now, especially in the prerequisite classes I need to take. I'm smart, I just had trouble in the beginning getting used to college and learning how to do everything for myself.

Will they look at my transcript and dismiss me because of it? And advice? I am trying to get an appointment with the head of the nursing program to ask about this in person but I'd also like to know what you think. Will they look more at my college GPA, or my high school GPA, or both? And will the fact that the C/dropped classes weren't related at all to nursing or pre nursing make a difference?

Thank you! Please let me know if you need anything clarified, I'd be happy to help!
