Ok so im going on a first date with a girl I met on OkCupid. From everything ive seen and weve talked about, she seems damn near exactly what ive been looking for in terms of preferences, hobbies, etc. Shes also pretty good looking (not a huge thing, but its nice!)
So ive only been on 3 dates in my 21 years. All were not worth following up on. Im basically the basic package as far as men go. Im white, 6'2, 195 pounds. A bit doughy on the stomach, but not much. So I'm almost afraid I wont stack up to her expectations which is driving me nuts!
We've been talking for about a week, and finally managed to work out a day to meet up, which is tomorrow. We are going to meet up at a little plaza/art exhibit and walk around for a while.
Plan is just to take in the sights, explore a bit, make small talk and get to know each other better (even though weve kinda been over all the basic stuff via text.), and get some food from one of the little restaurants.
But now I'm getting super OCD about details. Should I wear a polo, or should I go less formal with a tee shirt that has buttons on the neck? Its going to be sunny as hell, not to mention hot (Nevada sucks), so would it be a social faux pas to wear a ball cap or other type of hat? How do i greet her?
Its kind of killing me because i have no experience and i really want to nail the first impression! Any tips? Am I just overthinking it? Thanks in advance!
