I even dislike talking about or because of how fragile the subject is.
There's usually the same responses like "even a good M.D can have tattoos" or "even a guy with no tattoos can be a dick".
Or the classic "my body, my rules" responses.
Well, my opinion is that those things do nothing to your body but destroy them. The only thing you're modifying is your ego. It's your visual presentation. You're creating an image of yourself for others, not for you... And you like that.
- Tattoos: just why? There's no such thing as a tattoo with meaning. Even those that "represent" something are there to just "look cool" to others. You know that the meaningful feeling is there in your mind, why do you have the urge to show everyone how much you care for X thing through a shitty, painful process of inserting some ink in a place where there shouldn't be anything but tissue? And for those who just like the way they look... For those who think it's art; in my opinion, it is NOT. If I wanna see some art, I'd go to a museum, I'd google Picasso or whatever!!
The actual color/tone/formation of your skin is what makes you beautiful, not some meaningless bullshit in front of it!!
-
Surgery (plastic): again, why? Pretty much the same as tattoos... Why go through that painful, expensive process of "enhancing" something that's already naturally beautiful? The only type of surgery I can agree with, are the ones that help you with an actual medical condition, like idk, reconstructing the nose because you can't breathe properly and you have issues because of it. But increasing breast cups? Doing things to the nose? The butt? why? It's disgusting, unnecessary and it creates false illusions of beauty and stupid attention that you all probably crave so much.
-
Piercings: this is something I won't ever be able to understand. I can't even explain why I dislike them, probably as much as you probably are unable to explain why you like them so much. Even the regular / common earrings are meaningless to me, but changing that would be like getting rid of religion in the world.
-
Fake tans: there's no reason to get those. This one is hard to explain too. Your natural skin is beautiful, leave it that way!!!
Anything else that's fake. Nails, makeup, wigs, that god awful dyed hair.
And it seems that so many people are more prone to do these things. It's just a matter of going out and observe. And I hate it. Makes my stomach ache to see people like that.
Why can't people just think that these are all stupid things that don't add up to anything? No benefit other than seeking attention. But again, the only attention you'll be getting is from the same people who like these kinds of stuff, so it's a circle of jerks liking the same dumb things. And there's always a way to show these things... You won't ever see someone out there not looking for a way to show off what they've done to their bodies. And it's disgusting. Why not show off your goals, dreams, hobbies, things you like to do? Any ambitions?
I'd like to see you and like you in your natural way... Not with a stupid eiffel tower in your back, a "No Ragrets" tattoo on your chest, a stupid fucking flower in your wrist, a ring in every single finger.
This is why I like pictures of people as kids. Back then, with all that famous innocence, you won't see any of that. It's like you see who they really are. And now? That dyed red hair, those piercings in every eye, nose and ears.
Gah! I don't like it!. It creates so much falsity in your life. And, in the long run, nobody's really going to care... And therefore, you won't, because you only do these things so that others care.
