My First Cosplay!!!

I Just finished my first cosplay! Well, almost. I'm still waiting on a Bureau of Balance pin. Of course, it had to be Lucretia. I finished The balance in early July and I had to start making something from it. I really connected with her story of starting out as a writer and staying away from the action and turning into a doer and a leader. I loved her story with the Bureau of Balance.

I made everything with stuff I found around the house or the forest. the cape, the staff, the book purse... everything else I kind of had around the house. I spent maybe 50$ total on art supplies, which included the fancy cape liner, silver nail polish for the purse, and craft foam for the bracer. I can't wait to show it off at a comic con somewhere!

I'm also going to make a shameless plug for a new podcast I'm making. Its called The Adventurous Blu. I'm doing a review on my second listen through of the balance arc. In spoiler free episodes, I'm going to share how I felt about the episode when I first listened and what I learned from it at the time. At the same time, I'm going to compare the graphic novel and the podcast to hopefully explain to non-listeners what kind of content is given in this young adult novel and in the podcast. I'm also going to have spoiler episodes, going in deep into the characters, the plot, and anything regarding foreshadowing, or in other words, the master weaving of Griffin's storytelling. I have the first three episodes written out, so all I have to do is record it and post. If you have suggestions, let me know!
