So I read a post on here about how shitty their school is and it reminded me of how shitty my school is.
So do you guys want to hear some shitty rules? No? Too bad I'm telling you anyway.
Our school only allows black or white socks. And if you're wearing leggings the socks have to be under the leggings. Why? I'm dunno.
We're not allowed to wear boots or trainers (we can were trainers in PE though). Normally this is fine but when it gets really raining and the only school shoes they sell for girls are slip on, often with no top, it becomes a problem.
We have two separate uniforms. One for winter and summer. We don't have to buy the summer uniforms but unless you want to die of heat you kinda gotta.
You're only allowed bottom earrings in and they have to be studs. Even if you have one set of earrings slightly above the normal placement, you got to take them out. As someone who has top earrings I avoid this rule by wearing skin coloured earrings.
Your skirt must be 6cm above the knee or lower. Near the end of the year they started measuring it with a ruler. Seeing as I go to an all girls school and there are quite a lot of male teachers this did not go over well. People were also told to buy new skirts if it was too short, but no one did as it was the end of the year.
Your not allowed to tuck your jumper into your skirt. Apparently it looks unprofessional but most students think it looks messy. They made this rule up 2 weeks before we broke up. So that was all anyone talked about for 2 weeks.
You're not allowed nail polish or make up on. Most people just wear natural make up and no one can tell.
Year 7s get to go half an hour earlier to lunch. It use to be only till January so they had time to get use to the school without worrying about lunch for a bit (which was fine, everyone was cool with that) but for whatever reason they go half an hour earlier all year now. And there was a really big problem with food a year ago were the year 7s would take all the food and no one else had anything to eat. I waited in line for food all lunch once only for there to be nothing left. I had to go complain to teachers and write to the cafeteria before they got enough food to feed everyone who buys.
You're not allowed to doodle in your book. My friend got shouted at for this till she cried. TILL. SHE. CRIED. I wasn't in her class so I couldn't even comfort her till after. It was at the beginning of the lesson too.
We have to have this planner with us at all times even though it basically unless. And if we lose it we have to buy a new one.
One of the options you have to buy all the equipment. Several times a year. In graphics and art you have to buy the book and serval things a few times a year as one book is one project and we do 3 or 4 projects a year. Not too bad until you realise that the book and the things are close to £5.
If you get three detentions all year you get one after school. It doesn't even have to be for the same thing either. You could get one detention for forgetting a book in September, one for being 2 minutes later for class in October and one for wearing navy socks in July and you'd get an hour after school.
Just throught y'all like to hear about my crazy school rules. That's not even half the problems with my school since most of the problems aren't rules and don't even think that's all the rules. I might be trying to surpress memories for now.
