[LFA] Kali'el, an Eladrin Bladesinger

Backstory:

In our campaign, there is a recent treaty between the Feywild and the material plane. In the many convoluted years that immediately followed that treaty, many exchanges were made, and under some unknown circumstances, an Eladrin child was offered in one of those deals as a display of trust and good faith.

Though Kali'el had a peaceful upbringing among the High Elves of the material plane, he always felt like he was set apart. Like there was something missing that he couldn't quite put his finger on. While he is unaware of the fact that he's from the Fey, he always knew something about him was different. His natural affinity for magic revealed itself early, and at that young age, his unrest got the better of him. He ran away from the safe, humble life set before him by the Elves of the realm, but not before stealing closely guarded scrolls that contained the knowledge of bladesinging. He eventually found himself among many misfits of society not unlike him. He made a new life on the seas, working along with a crew of smugglers.

Kali'el quickly won them over by showing off his skills with a blade. While they are unaware that his prowess in combat comes from the utilization of arcane forces, they accept him as one of their best swordsmen and most quick-witted crew members. He continues to study magic in secret, and uncover what he can about both the arcane arts and himself.

Basic Info:

Gender: Male

Race: Eladrin (Elf)

Class: Bladesinger/Wizard

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral/Good; Though he looks out for himself for the most part, he usually tries to do the right thing when he can.

Age: 37 (Appears to be in his early 20s)

Build: Slender 6'1"

Nature: D&D

Features:

  • Due to his Elvish nature, he has very slender, elegant facial features; Quite handsome with high cheekbones and a sharp jawline. His expression gives off a sarcastic seriousness.
  • His eyes are a very lively gold/amber color.
  • His hair is platinum with a gold hue and falls slightly past his shoulders. He usually wears it in a high ponytail with the sides hanging out in front of his ears.
  • His skin is pale.
  • Due to his Eladrin nature, Kali'el's features (eye color, hair color, skin radiance, etc.) fluctuate with his emotions as well as his connection to the Feywild. The more disconnected, the duller. The more connected, the brighter and livelier.

Style:

  • Kali'el has the style of a flashy swashbuckler with a splash of spellcaster.
  • He's very slender, and his fighting style features lots of flourishes.
  • He paints his nails and has multiple earrings on both ears as well as jewelry around his neck.
  • He wears a very plain white flowing long sleeve shirt that shows his chest; similar to what you would imagine a sailor would wear.
  • Over that is a flashy, crimson wool coat that goes down to his knees which he wears open.
  • He wears basic dark trousers that are tucked into leather boots with many straps and buckles that go up to his knees.
  • His forearms are covered with fingerless leather gauntlets that are fashioned with similar straps and buckles.

Significant Items:

  • He keeps a small pocket-sized journal that acts as his spellbook fashioned to his waist, along with various other pouches and holders.
  • His primary weapon is a two-handed shortsword (that he wields with one hand) that's blade is about the same length as the hilt; similar to this. He keeps it sheathed horizontally across his lower back.

Personality:

  • Since Eladrin are deeply rooted in emotion, Kali'el is emotionally charged in everything he does.
  • He's very intelligent and naturally gifted, but he's aware of that fact, which gives him his most fatal flaw; arrogance.
  • Kali'el never turns from a fight, always reaching for the blade on his lower back. His hard-headedness has gotten him into a lot of trouble, but it's also given him many chances to prove himself and earn the respect of his crew, which he's done many times over.

I'm very hopeful that someone will enjoy this character enough to bring him to life! I’m open to commission. Looking forward to seeing what you guys can do. If you have any questions, please ask me! Thank you so much for looking.
