Has anyone else noticed the common theme in Hollywood movies that always seem to push "Break the rules and follow your heart" and "There's an evil villain coming to earth to destroy it and we need to unite to battle against him"??? We are being fed this message over and over from childhood up. The purpose of art is to change the viewer. "Life imitates art.". It molds the culture around us. Just look at fashion trends and the way people talk, slangs, popular dance moves, jokes, etc. It's all "POPular-CULTure". People love to think they are in control and are not affected by things they view, but it's proven psychology and historical fact that propaganda is a powerful weapon that shapes the mindset of the masses. Just look at the world around you and you will see thousands, if not millions of God-hating atheist millennials. I'm 35 and I idolized Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails and was "gothic" and it was still weird and outcast... now that look and mindset is the norm. These pop stars are as blatantly satanic as the gothic metal I was listening to 20 years ago.
All that to say, yes, art does affect the viewer/listener. It's the reason a scene can make you cry or laugh or feel angry. Satan is no dummy and it's pretty clear that hollywood isn't filled with the most Godly people. As a matter of fact, it's basically Sodom and Gomorrah. Revelation tells us that Satan is going to deceive the world and unite them battle the coming of the Lord. How do you think satan is going to recruit an army against God? It looks as though he has been working overtime seducing the youth with hypnotic movies that have an agenda... an agenda to wage war against God.
