First Mani/Pedi Scheduled

Hi all,

I have my first manicure and pedicure in about six weeks. This is really the first time I'll have worn polish (save for one time as a kid when my sister put clear polish on), and I'm super excited.

I've debated quite a bit about what to do for my fingernails. I'm heading to a huge work conference a couple days after I get my nails done, and while I'd totally love to get a bold color, I'm pretty sure I'd end up taking it off before I left. Right now, I'm thinking of doing Zoya' Naked Manicure with the glossy top coat, or else trying to do a semi-discreet nude. (The salon uses SpaRitual and Zoya exclusively, I think.) Does anyone have any advice on trying to wear discreetly?

I'm planning on going all out for my toes. I've had extra time added to get nail art done. I'm planning on doing pink flowers on blue. I've also thought about doing a rainbow gradient or a purple/blue gradient.

One thing I don't have yet is a pair of flip flops. Does anyone have suggestions for a cute pair that would be available in a women's 11 or 12?

Is there anything you wished you had known before your first manicure/pedicure?
