Two of my biggest interests are make-up and nail art, and while I love being creative with myself I am always very uncomfortable doing it on others. I don't have a lot of confidence in my skills and I feel odd being in someone's personal space..
My mom asked me to come to her house over the weekend and spend some time with a friend of hers daughters as a way to bring some cheer to them, as their family has been going through a lot of hard times lately. I agreed, but I was so nervous that they would not like what I had in mind, or that I would paint them horribly, but I was pleasantly surprised! They loved all the glitter and color I used and were so energetic and upbeat the whole time.
One of the sisters is a bit more reserved, so when I had finished hers I was especially worried she didn't like it. My mom told me that when they left she said she hadn't felt more beautiful in her life. I can't tell you how happy that made me :)
